「越前國」是日本眼鏡聖地 - 福井縣的古名，而「甚六」則是作為鯖江市眼鏡職人的製作者長谷川正行對其父之名的致敬。
長谷川正行出生於福井縣越前市，長谷川先生五十年熱衷於製作各式各樣的手作眼鏡，時至今日仍然以鯖江市眼鏡識人的身份活躍於手作眼鏡界。他與品牌的眼鏡設計師 - 米谷成師，在嶄新設計與傳統造鏡技術的相輔相成下，令「越前國 甚六作」的出品深受一眾手作眼鏡愛好者的青睞。
