TYPE is co-founded by Oh My Glasses TOKYO and Creative Agency "Wieden + Kennedy Tokyo".

The visual design of the Japanese handmade eyewear brand is inspired by typefaces. The first collection features glasses based on the two popular typefaces : Helvetica and Garamond. The typeface Garamond was created specifically to improve the reading experience, while Helvetica was intended to be clean, modern and practical.

 “The design of a typeface affects how a message is communicated. We use these subtle differences in the design of glasses’ frames to influence the impression of the person who wears them.” Said the creators of TYPE. Every element of TYPE is presented beautifully between practicality and aesthetics.
