Real-Name Authentication System for Overseas Parcels

Due to strict customs regulations in Taiwan, the Taiwan Ministry of Finance Customs Administration has enforced a real-name authentication system for overseas parcels since April 16, 2020. This system is designed to protect personal data and expedite the customs clearance process.

Required Information for Customs Clearance

When placing an order, customers must provide the recipient’s full name in Chinese, ID number, and mobile number for customs purposes. Additionally, the recipient must complete real-name authentication via the “EZ WAY” app before the package enters Taiwan to ensure smooth delivery.

For future international purchases or random customs inspections, the “EZ WAY” app will send notifications requiring the recipient to confirm package details (as long as notifications are not disabled).

3.Enter your personal information and upload photos of both sides of your ID card

Delivery time:

  1. Orders will be processed after completion of payment. Customized optical lens will be prepared after confirmation of optical information. The product will generally be dispatched within 3-7 working days after the order is placed and once it is ready we will notify you by email.
  2. Delivery time may take longer than usual during public holidays or promotional activities.
  3. Please ensure the delivery address and personal information provided are accurate. We may contact you for relevant information if there are errors or omissions, hence shipment may be delayed.
  4. Payments reviewed by banks, customs clearance and bad weather may delay delivery time.

Customs, Duties and Taxes:

Recipients of international shipments may be subject to import taxes, fees, and customs duties , levied by the customs office of your shipping destination. Import Fees vary according to the customs regulations of the destination country. Once an order is placed, any custom fees levied will be non-refundable, including any returned orders.

Customs offices in some countries and regions require the importer of record (IOR) to provide a particular form of identification (ID) before releasing a shipment. You may be required to provide an ID number (such as national ID), photograph of ID, or other document. Delivery may be delayed. Please check with your local customs for restrictions on imported goods. We will not be responsible for any goods that cannot be cleared.

✽Except for Hong Kong, other countries and regions may have shipping restrictions on products other than glasses/sunglasses. If any queries, please contact us before placing an order.

About overseas transaction fees:

The credit card issuer may charge you an overseas transaction fee. The amount and terms are set by the issuer. For handling fees for overseas transactions, please check with them directly for any handling fees.

Order :

  1. Order Confirmation: A confirmation email will be sent to you once the payment process is complete. Upon confirmation, the order enters processing, packaging, and shipping. Orders that have been packaged cannot be cancelled.
  2. Order Modifications: Please contact us promptly if you need to modify your order. Orders that are already packaged or shipped cannot be changed.
  3. Shipping Confirmation: A confirmation email will be sent to you once your order is shipped, including a tracking number. Please keep this email for reference to track your order's shipping status.
  4. Free Shipping: Orders that meet the required minimum order is eligible for free shipping.
  5. Product Availability: We strive to maintain sufficient stock as listed on the website. If any item is out of stock, we reserve the right to cancel that part of the order.
  6. Stock Availability and Notifications: We may not notify customers in advance of stock shortages. If an item is out of stock, you may choose to cancel the order, keep it on backorder, or substitute it with another item. For cancellation, a refund will be arranged. Backordered items may take 4–6 weeks for delivery, possibly due to international shipping to Hong Kong, and we will notify you promptly. For replacements, any additional cost must be paid in full, while no refunds will be given if the replacement item is of lesser value.
  7. If customers require prescription lenses, please ensure the wearer is at least 16 years old and is not registered as blind or visually impaired. Kindly email prescirption details dated within the last two years to cs@blackzmith.com for confirmation. Providing invalid or inaccurate prescription may result in order cancellation.
  8. Customer-Supplied Prescriptions: We are not liable for any discomfort if a customer-provided prescription lens causes discomfort post-fitting.
  9. If prescription optical lenses are not required, the frames will be fitted with non optical clear acrylic lenses or original sunglass lenses.
  10. Product Pricing: Prices are as listed on the website and are subject to change without prior notice.
  11. Mixed Orders: If an order includes both in-stock and backordered items, all items will be shipped together once available. For special arrangements, please contact us.

Return policy:

  1. You can return or exchange or refund the product(s) purchased at Blackzmith Online Store within 28 days of receiving your purchase.
  2. If you wish to return the products purchased at www.blackzmith.com, please email cs@blackzmith.com or call +852 3698 1915 to contact the customer service department beforehand.BLACKZMITH retail stores only provide replacement services. Staffs at stores will not arrange refunds and returns of online orders.
  3. All products that require return or refund must be returned with the original eyewear case and receipts under a brand new and intact condition. BLACKZMITH has the right for not accepting products that violate the regulations.
  4. Discounted product(s) (including any products purchased with a discount code or promo-code) are non exchangeable and non refundable. Customized and cleaning products are not refundable, such as customized optical lenses, frames with customized optical lenses, engraved glasses or sunglasses frame, glasses cleaner.
  5. If you are not satisfied with the customized optical lenses, you can go to our store for free re-examination within 28 days upon receipt of the product. You will be replaced with the same-priced lens for free if necessary. If you request a higher-value replacement, the price difference must be paid in full. If you request to replace a lower-value lens, the price difference will not be refunded. Used lenses need to be returned. Replacement of lens will be determined according to the actual condition of the customer. The customized optical lenses can only be exchanged once.
  6. Once an order is placed, the customs duties incurred will not be refunded.
  7. Packing and handling costs will be borne by the customer when shipping all materiel authorized for return. We do not provide return shipping label or refund of delivery cost.
  8. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend return shipments be sent with a shipping carrier that offers tracking service.
  9. Blackzmith will be responsible for the delivery charge of replacement item.
  10. If you received detective, incorrect or incomplete merchandise, please contact us within 7 days from the date of receipt and provide us with the order number, product photos and other relevant details. We will assist as soon as possible.
  11. Solos products purchased at Blackzmith will receive one-year official warranty provided by Solos. Blackzmith's return policy does not apply to Solos products.
  12. Return and Refund Policy is not applicable to products that you purchased through BLACKZMITH Optical retail stores.

In case of any disputes, BLACKZMITH Optical reserves the right of final decision.

Return procedures:

  1. If you request a return, please email to cs@blackzmith.com with your order number or call us at +852 3698 1915
  2. Once the request is approved, we will send the return/exchange number and return/exchange form to you. Please write the order number and return/replacement item number on the form for return arrangement.
  3. Return processing time is approximately 14 working days from the time that the returned package is signed.
  4. We will notify you by email and refund the money to your payment account once the procedure is completed.

Ultrasonic Cleaner Maintenance and Warranty:

BLACKZMITH provides a 7-day replacement arrangement for the ultrasonic cleaner. If the cleaner cannot be turned on normally, customer can bring the original invoice to our store and arrange a replacement within 7 days after purchase. We provide a 3-month after-sales maintenance service for the ultrasonic cleaner. Please contact customer service department for more details.

Note:

  1. Customer cannot request refund for ultrasonic cleaner.
  2. The warranty period is calculated from the date of purchase. Customers must show the date of purchase on the original invoice so as to enjoy 3-month warranty.
  3. Maintenance service will not be provided for damage caused by human accidents, negligence, improper voltage input or unauthorized repairs or modifications.
  4. The maintenance service is only applicable to Hong Kong orders.
  5. Replacement for cleaner purchased online (in Hong Kong) needs to be done in person at our stores.
